Help & FAQ

  1. Tap the "+" button on the main dashboard
  2. Enter a name for your injury (e.g., "Left Ankle Sprain")
  3. Select the starting date when the injury occurred
  4. Use the body map to indicate the location of injury
  5. Add any initial notes about the injury
  6. Set your initial pain level
  7. Tap "Save" to begin tracking
Tip: Being specific about the injury name will help you better organize multiple injuries if you're tracking more than one.

To log your pain levels for an existing injury:

  1. Open the injury from your dashboard
  2. Tap "Add New Entry"
  3. Move the slider to indicate your current pain level (0-10)
  4. Add any notes about changes or activities that affected your pain
  5. Tap "Save" to record the entry

The app will automatically record the date and time of your entry. You can add multiple entries per day if needed.

Yes, adding photos is a great way to visually track your recovery:

  2. Tap "Add New Entry" or edit an existing entry
  3. Tap the camera icon
  4. Choose to take a new photo or select one from your gallery
  5. You can add multiple photos to a single entry

Health Data Integration

To connect health services for step and sleep data:

For Android (Google Health Connect):

  1. Go to "Settings" in the app
  2. Tap "Connect Health Services"
  3. Select "Google Health Connect"
  4. Review and grant the requested permissions
  5. Choose which data types to import (steps, sleep)

For iOS (Apple Health):

  1. Go to "Settings" in the app
  2. Tap "Connect Health Services"
  3. Select "Apple Health"
  4. Review and enable the data types you want to share
  5. Confirm your selections

Once connected, your health data will automatically sync with your injury tracking.

Connecting your health data provides valuable context for your recovery:

  • Step counts help track activity levels, which can be correlated with pain fluctuations
  • Sleep data helps identify how sleep quality affects recovery and pain levels
  • The app can generate insights showing potential relationships between activity, rest, and your recovery progress

This integrated approach gives you and your healthcare providers a more complete picture of your recovery journey.

Reporting & Data Export

To create a PDF report of your injury tracking data:

  1. Open the specific injury you want to report on
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top right
  3. Select "Generate Report"
  4. Choose your preferred date range for the report
  5. Select which data to include (pain logs, photos, activity data, etc.)
  6. Tap "Create PDF"
  7. The report will be saved to your device

After generating, you can share the PDF with healthcare providers directly from the app or access it in your device's files.

All your data is stored locally on your device only - we don't upload any of your personal information to the cloud. This enhances privacy but means you should take steps to protect your data:

Recommended actions:
  • Regularly export PDF reports as a form of backup
  • If changing devices, generate complete reports of all injuries before switching
  • Use your device's built-in backup system (iCloud/Google Backup) which may include app data

We're working on a secure, optional cloud backup feature for a future update, but currently all data remains on-device only.

Troubleshooting

The app has an auto-save feature that attempts to preserve your data if a crash occurs:

  1. Restart the app after a crash
  2. Check the "Drafts" section, which may contain a recovered version of your entry
  3. If nothing appears in Drafts, try to re-enter your information

When a crash occurs, anonymous crash data is sent to our developers so we can fix the issue in future updates. No personal injury data is included in these reports.

If you're having trouble with health data integration:

  1. Check that you've granted all necessary permissions in both Thery and your health app
  2. Verify that your health app is collecting the data you want to import
  3. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the health service in the Settings menu
  4. Make sure your device's operating system is up to date
  5. Restart both Thery and your health app

Some health data may take up to 24 hours to sync completely, particularly sleep data which often updates retroactively.
